The Attalla parade, which was canceled last year because of rain, will begin at 6 p.m. Lisa Turner, special events coordinator for the city of Attalla, said 70 units are signed up to participate.
The parade will start at the Favorite Mart at U.S. Highway 431 and Fourth Street and go to the old Attalla Elementary School.
Following the parade, there will be apple cider at the gazebo downtown and an opportunity for children to visit with Santa.

Cranberry Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
Well the secret is now out, here is the recipe for my famous cookies! Great for The Holidays and don't forget the milk!
Ingredients
2 cups A/P flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 stick butter
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Warm up your ovens to 350 degrees F.
1 - Put flour in a large mixing bowl.
2 - Add baking powder
3 - Add brown sugar
4 - Mix well
5 - Add nuts to the flour mixture, and mix.
6 - In a separate bowl, whip your butter.
7 - Add the peanut butter, and whip some more.
8 - ad eggs.
9 - using a spatula, scrap all that peanut butter mixture into the dry ingredients bowl.
10 – knead mixture well
11 – Finally, mix in your cranberries.
12 – And lastly, roll your dough into walnut size balls, and flatten those puppies with a fork.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.

Megan Fox says fans will “never” see her involved in a sex tape.
“That? Never! Urgh, never!” the “Jennifer’s Body” star told MTV News. “That’s the last thing I want to see is what I look like having sex.”
Megan said just a glimpse of her body — in the heat of passion — might put her off the act forever.
“It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex,” she said. “Um, that will never happen. No pictures, no. Not nude ones.”
The actress, 23, who is rumored to be back with her former fiance, Brian Austin Green, said she has no plans to get naked on the big screen either.
“I can’t ever imagine myself doing nudity in a film,” she said. “It lives forever, especially now, with the Internet. I just can’t. I just can’t. That’s the only thing I have left.”
Megan said one reason she plans to stay covered is to keep just a small part of herself, to herself.
“People take everything from you when you’re in this business. Your anonymity is stripped from you,” she said, referring to some photos, which recently cropped up on the Web showing the actress in flesh colored undies and pasties while on a film set. “They invade every part of your personal life, your relationships. Everything you say gets judged, everything you do gets judged. Literally all I have left are my private parts and I don’t want to also share them with the world. I’d like to keep them private. Guitarist John Mayer will have to hand over $25,000 to charity, after losing a bet over his criminal record.
Mayer bet editors at TMZ.com they couldn't track down a mug shot taken of him, following his arrest in 2001 for driving with a suspended license.
He offered to donate the sum to a charity of site editor Harvey Levin's choice - and will have to dig deep after resourceful journalists tracked down the incriminating snap.
Mayer's money will go to an animal charity.

Well I must say we had a great week and weekend here at MIX 102.9 Alabama's MIX MUSIC CHANNEL! Sister Hazel was amazing, in studio and at Center Stage. And let me tell you when I say this, it is very honest and up front. Center Stage is incredible! That entire complex is just crazy awesome. I walked in and the first feeling I had was that I was about to walk into the BJCC or Phillips Arena in ATL. It just gave me that big time concert sensation. The looks the smell the atmosphere, it was just totally cool. I WILL be back to see another show there.

SAFETY TIPS:
The first thing that you will need to do is make sure that everyone is with somebody. Very young children should be right by your side, the entire time, large stroller is a great idea. Older children will need to have a friend with them at all times. It is always best for kids to be together in groups instead of by themselves. It's a proven fact that the more people they have with them the safer they are. Since older kids particularly teens like to be on their own when at a fair this is certainly a good idea.
NO CASH for the kids. Designate a time to eat and play games as well as a meeting location.
It is also a good idea to give them a way to communicate with you and check in. Even if you don't like the idea of giving your child a cell phone, it may be a good idea to give them either yours or your spouses to keep on them so that they can check in at the designated time. Or if you prefer walki talkies seem to work just as well to keep in touch at a street fair. My family has used them several times before and not only do they work well but it is a lot of fun to use as well. Also you can try to have an emergency meet up location as well. This may seem like a bit much for a fair, but since so many things can happen within a blink of an eye, being prepared is certainly a good idea. The best option is to pick a spot when you arrive at the fair. Since most fairs require you to park further away anyway, you can always have the car be the emergency meet up spot. This will help to ensure that everyone stays safe, and you will be able to find each other in case of emergency. These are just a few ideas and suggestions on how to keep your family safe at the fair.

So who would have thought in a million years I would be standing on the same stage as Gallagher sharing a laugh and having fun with an almost sold out crowd at GSCC Wallace Hall! Becky and I had the greatest time and Gallagher STILL had that comedy fire he has had for all these years. The kids made him a mini masher hammer made from wood and he loved it! He used it right at the beginning of the show, but then later on someone stepped on it and cracked it. But that's OK he said he would fix it and put it by all his memories and gifts from the fans, how awesome. Thanks to everyone who showed up it was an amazing crowd and a very funny night for Gallagher, I will always cherish that night.

So this morning I am on the way to work...and if it isn’t enough for this to happen once in a while it happens to me EVERY MORNING! I am cruising along doing maybe 5mph over the speed limit and a car pulls out in front of me and proceeds to do 20mph under the speed limit hence slowing me down. I'm thinking ok I'll pass then continue my drive to work at "my" pace. Well I pass them, get going again, then guess what, someone else pulls out in front of me and SLOWS down again! This happened a total of 4 times. Why is this? Is it an omen that someone must always keep me from having a nice drive to work? Is god punishing me for something? WHY! Does anyone else have this problem? For the love of all that’s good and pure, please discuss.

Creed frontman Scott Stapp says the reunited group is soon to release its new album, "Full Circle." And he promises that "we're gonna have an album mixed and mastered in the next five weeks" -- hopefully for an Fall release. I for one and so excited to hear Creed after sooo many years of nothing new. Wait till you see Scott, he has the baldness kickin! lol
